(More customer reviews)I have an IPod Mini that I wanted to wear around my neck, like the IPod Shuffle.I looked around endlessly for a lanyard and case.Most of the after-market lanyards look sturdy but attach with a thin string.Apple makes a nice lanyard for the Mini, but it doesn't look like it would work with any of the protective cases you can buy.I think the best option is this XtremeMac product.It provides good protection and a lanyard that seems secure.Apple sells a "sport case" for the Shuffle, but not for the Mini.If you want something like that for your Mini, I think this is the next best thing.
